Skagway Scooters is a travel and adventure based company with the goal of leaving our clients with an unforgettable experience and amazing memories to look back on in the years to come.

Chris Paulson caught the adventure bug at a young age. He grew up riding dirt bikes with his dad and his love for the two-wheeled sport quickly became a gateway into all things motorcycles. Later in life he decided to pack his bags and embark on the adventure of a motorcycle journey, departing from Skagway, Alaska and riding to Ushuaia on the southern tip of South America — a 30,000-mile journey that would take him 7 months to complete. Upon returning to the North, Chris started Skagway Scooters with the hopes of sharing his passion with the town where his journey began. His love of travel brought him to call Alaska, a land of pristine beauty and wilderness, home. Skagway is made for the adventurer at heart.

Chris' wife Kelsey is a born and raised northerner. Growing up north of 60 gave her a strong love for adventure, the outdoors and sleeping under the stars watching the northern lights.

When they are not busy at work, both Chris and Kelsey can be found exploring the mountains, hiking with their Siberian Husky, Shadow and finding new exciting places to go camping.

We look to inspire adventure. To us, travel is about new experiences, forging new friendships and creating lifelong memories. We want to offer a fresh and exciting way to get outside and explore, take in the fresh air, stunning mountain vistas, and blue water of the Taiya Inlet — even learn some of Skagway’s rich gold rush history. Whether you are out with our tour group or on your own, we provide the opportunity to get off the beaten path and do something a little different.

Why scooters?

Many people come to the north with the dream of riding in Alaska. Skagway Scooters caters to both new and experienced riders alike, for people with and without motorcycle endorsements. As long as our clients have a valid driver’s license, they are welcome to participate. No motorcycle endorsements are necessary (As per the state of Alaska). This allows for a larger group of people to take part in the adventure.

Inspired Rides EST 2014, diversified to Skagway Scooters in 2015.
